About Hernia Mesh Lawsuit
Hernia mesh implants were designed to reinforce abdominal wall repairs and prevent hernia recurrence. However, certain mesh products have caused serious complications including migration, infection, chronic pain, and erosion into surrounding organs. Patients who received defective mesh implants face years of chronic pain, repeated surgeries, and significant health complications.
Several manufacturers, including Atrium Medical, Davol, Ethicon, and Bard, have been named in litigation for producing defective mesh products with known failure rates. These companies failed to adequately warn surgeons and patients about serious adverse effects and known product defects. Patients often require multiple revision surgeries to remove or replace the failed mesh.
If you had hernia mesh implanted and subsequently suffered migration, infection, chronic pain, bowel obstruction, or other complications requiring revision surgery, you may have a significant claim against the mesh manufacturer for defective design and failure to warn.
